About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Internal IT/Tech Support Specialist with strong GIS expertise to join our team at Sambus Geospatial Nigeria Limited. This role combines traditional IT support with geospatial technology, ensuring smooth operations across both IT systems and GIS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for staff across hardware, software, and network issues
• Install, configure, and maintain company devices, applications, and systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems promptly to minimize downtime
• Support and manage GIS applications and assist users with GIS-related tasks
• Deploy software and manage software updates across the organization
• Monitor and maintain IT and GIS infrastructure, ensuring system reliability
• Train staff on IT and GIS tools, creating user-friendly guides and documentation
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, data security standards, and GIS data integrity

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Proven experience in IT support or a related role
• Compulsory knowledge of GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and networking basics
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to support non-technical staff
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, Cisco, GIS-related certifications)
