About the Internship

This internship program is designed to promote employability by providing work experience opportunities to recent graduates and university students in career transition. The program also aims to develop leadership competencies and promote the participation of women in decision-making roles within key development spaces.

Role Overview

The intern will initiate, assist, report on, and monitor various initiatives while planning regular meetings and facilitating knowledge exchange. You will reconcile theoretical knowledge with practical processes, working with specific applications in GIS and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop basic data analytics using Excel, Python, and R programming language
• Support map production to deliver project outputs
• Utilize department GIS applications and development infrastructure, providing feedback as appropriate
• Assist with GIS-related operations and processes to improve existing solutions in the Product & Services department
• Communicate findings and facilitate knowledge dissemination and exchange among stakeholders
• Contribute to building a productive and pleasant working environment, learning from senior team members
• Support operations management activities
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the department head or line manager

Minimum Qualifications

• First degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field of study
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a relevant field
• NYSC Certificate of Completion, Exemption, or Exclusion (compulsory)
• Female candidates only
