## Title: Information and Communications Assistant

Job Summary

This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within the Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF). The Information and Communications Assistant will be responsible for all information and communication management related to LPF programmes. The role involves collating and documenting human-interest stories, photos, programme materials of verification (MOVs), and other essential information and communication materials.

The assistant will organize and present project deliverables in a clear manner that highlights programme achievements. These documented outputs will be used to effectively communicate progress and results to donors, ensuring transparency and demonstrating the impact of the programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to media, digital, and communication initiatives as part of advocacy development across all programmes
  • Support media and communication strategies for advocacy issues; work with relevant programme staff to identify advocacy and communication issues related to LPF's work in Nigeria
  • Support Programme Officers in building networks to carry out advocacy on livelihoods, market access, and right to be heard issues in Nigeria
  • Assist in designing and producing training and educational materials on media and communication for marketing LPF programmes
  • Develop work plans, individual development plans, and regular reports for the Programme/Operations Manager
  • Support team and programme partners in media and communications-related capacity building and ensure integration within the programme
  • Identify potential new strategic media partners for LPF and develop strategies for working with them
  • Support LPF staff and partners in communicating relevant messages to target audiences within and outside the organization on major activities
  • Develop and sustain relationships with media and civil society groups in Nigeria to support LPF's advocacy work
  • Ensure adequate media coverage for all programme activities, functions, and press releases/statements
