Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Teacher

Position Overview

The ICT Teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver instruction to students in Junior Secondary (JS 1-3) and Senior Secondary (SS 1-3) classes, in accordance with the Nigeria National Policy on Education and the regulations of Jesuit Memorial College.

The teacher will effectively and efficiently cover every item in the school's scheme of work while equipping students with practical ICT knowledge applicable to everyday life. As a member of Jesuit Memorial College, the successful candidate will serve as a role model to students.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare comprehensive ICT lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school standards
• Deliver instruction to students across Junior and Senior Secondary levels
• Cover all items in the school's scheme of work effectively and efficiently
• Teach practical ICT skills applicable to students' daily lives
• Model professional conduct and values for students

Required Qualifications

• B.Ed (Computer Science) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role
• Strong command of the English language

• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Good understanding of adolescent psychology
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Advantageous Qualifications

• Additional experience related to ICT
• Higher degree or additional qualifications in ICT or related fields
