IGCSE Biology Teacher at Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls

About the Role

Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls is seeking a dedicated and experienced Biology teacher to join our team. In this position, you will develop students' interest in learning through effective and transformational teaching, mentorship, and the planning of engaging educational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with IGCSE and Cambridge curricula
• Research and select appropriate textbooks, software, equipment, and learning materials to complement instruction
• Prepare comprehensive course materials including syllabi, homework assignments, and detailed lesson notes
• Create teaching materials such as handouts, study guides, and quizzes
• Grade assignments and evaluate student progress regularly
• Maintain accurate student attendance records, grades, and assessment results while ensuring confidentiality
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curriculum content and instructional methods based on student needs
• Prepare students effectively for external examinations including IGCSE, CHECKPOINT, and WAEC
• Supervise classes to ensure a safe, productive, and inclusive learning environment
• Provide mentorship and support to students

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) or Master's Degree in Education (M.Ed)
• BSc with PGDE in Biology or a related subject
• Minimum of 5 years' experience teaching Biology at secondary level
• Certification in IGCSE and CHECKPOINT
• Demonstrated experience preparing learners for external examinations
• Ability to teach WAEC curriculum
• Knowledge of Cambridge Standards (highly advantageous)
