ICT Specialist II at ICRC - International Committee of the Red Cross

Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Finance and Admin Manager, the ICT Specialist II provides comprehensive support and maintains proper functionality of ICT infrastructure. You will interact with internal and external stakeholders, including service providers, and offer technical support to users in Mubi and other sites as requested.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and regularly update ICT inventory while ensuring adequate stock levels
• Implement and follow global and country-level ICT policies and procedures
• Brief, advise, and train end-users on ICRC ICT systems
• Install, program, adapt, and maintain professional ICRC informatics equipment including computers, servers, printers, peripherals, internal networks, power systems, cabling, modems, and internet facilities in accordance with internal standards and procedures
• Install, program, adapt, and maintain professional ICRC telecom and radio equipment including HF, VHF, UHF, modems, antennas, cabling, power systems, inverters, batteries, and repeaters in accordance with internal standards and procedures
• Install, program, adapt, and maintain professional ICRC telephone equipment including PABX systems, satellite phones, switchboards, wireless units, telephone sets, and GSM gateways in accordance with internal standards and procedures
• Provide timely response to helpdesk requests from callers and walk-in users, including remote assistance for ICT problems
• Support users with data backup and restoration as well as virus detection, removal, and prevention
• Accurately log all ICT support requests in the ICT Service Portal and ensure resolution according to agreed Service Level Agreements; escalate unresolved issues to the ABJ ICT Manager, ICT Engineer, or L3 service desk
• Assist with ICT administration for staff joining, leaving, or relocating, including creation and configuration of new computers and services
• Repair or organize repairs of broken ICT equipment
