## Title: Human Resources Officer

About the Role

Skipper Eye-Q Hospital is recruiting a Human Resources Officer to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. We are seeking a professional with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a comprehensive understanding of employment legislation. The successful candidate will combine strategic and commercial insight into labor processes with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare job descriptions and advertise vacant positions, managing the complete employment process
  • Orient new employees and coordinate training programs for existing staff
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance
  • Ensure employees are well-organized and satisfied in their work environment
  • Oversee health and safety compliance for all employees
  • Implement systematic staff development procedures
  • Provide counseling and guidance on organizational policies and procedures
  • Manage payroll and benefits administration with meticulous attention to detail
  • Communicate with staff regarding performance-related issues and organizational matters
  • Maintain accurate and complete employee records in both electronic and digital formats

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in human resources
  • Knowledge of employment legislation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Strong ability to engage in meaningful negotiation and conflict resolution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional training or certification in Payroll Management
  • CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management) certification
  • Experience as a Skills Development Facilitator
