Job Purpose
BigSun Africa seeks a dedicated Human Resources and Administration Officer to provide comprehensive support in the day-to-day operations of both the Human Resources and Administration departments. This dual role involves managing HR policies, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, while ensuring efficient administrative operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a positive organizational culture and ensuring compliance with labour laws and organizational policies.
Human Resources Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process, from job postings to onboarding new employees
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure all necessary documentation is completed
- Handle employee relations, addressing grievances and promoting a positive work environment
- Support staff performance management processes, including appraisals and training
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of performance management systems
- Coordinate performance appraisal processes and provide support to managers and employees
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs
- Maintain training records and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
- Coordinate staff training and professional development initiatives
Administration Responsibilities
- Oversee daily administrative functions, including office management and documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative records, ensuring proper filing and documentation of all activities
- Manage procurement, inventory, and maintenance of office supplies and equipment
- Provide administrative support to the leadership team, including scheduling and correspondence
