About the Role

An established company in the mining sector is recruiting an HSE Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with legal and industry standards
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Conduct HSE training and awareness programs for all staff
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with regulatory authorities as required
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in HSE management within the mining or extractive industry
• Sound knowledge of mining safety standards, environmental compliance, and risk management
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
• Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 (advantageous)
