Position Summary

A Hotel Chief Security Officer (CSO) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all safety and security strategies to protect guests, employees, and assets. This role involves managing physical security, creating and enforcing policies, conducting risk assessments, managing security personnel, and ensuring compliance with laws and hotel standards. The CSO must also handle crisis management, conduct training, and maintain a high level of security awareness throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive security and safety policies and procedures that align with hotel standards and legal requirements
• Oversee all physical security measures, including CCTV systems, access control, and the daily operations of security personnel
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and develop mitigation strategies
• Create and manage incident response plans for security breaches, loss, and other emergencies, including crisis management and contingency planning
• Supervise, interview, hire, and train security staff to ensure they meet hotel standards and can maintain order
• Foster a culture of security by developing and conducting training sessions for all staff on security best practices and protocols
• Investigate security incidents, compile reports, and manage all related documentation for compliance and audits
• Work with management to develop and implement an appropriate budget for security programs
• Ensure a safe environment for both guests and team members, including managing disputes and complaints
