## Title: Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the organization's HSE systems to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements.

The position focuses on promoting a strong safety culture, minimizing risk, preventing incidents, and ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety Management

  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs across operations
  • Conduct regular inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
  • Identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare comprehensive reports

Environmental Management

  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permits
  • Monitor environmental performance related to waste management, emissions, and resource usage
  • Promote environmentally sustainable practices and continuous improvement initiatives

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections

Training & Awareness

  • Deliver HSE induction, toolbox talks, and safety training programs
  • Promote safety awareness and behavioural safety initiatives
  • Support emergency preparedness and response planning and drills

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a point of contact for HSE-related matters
  • Support leadership in fostering a strong safety culture across the organization

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of relevant HSE experience (industry dependent)
  • Knowledge of local HSE legislation
