About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Michael Stevens Consulting as Head of Power Projects. You will report to the Chief Operating Officer and drive the company's vision in the power sector while ensuring marketing efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate departmental operations and manage day-to-day activities
- Research and identify new business opportunities in the power sector
- Develop comprehensive marketing plans for the company's products and services
- Lead marketing efforts for training, supplies, recruitment, outsourcing, and project services to power companies
- Manage and retain existing clients while developing new business channels
- Meet and exceed company targets and expand the client database
- Consult with department heads to plan advertising services and gather client needs and specifications
- Liaise with potential customers regarding training, procurement, recruitment, and engineering consulting solutions
- Develop follow-up programs to ensure the success of submitted proposals
- Generate business mandates from clients
- Monitor customer preferences to inform sales strategies
- Prepare sales budgets and approve departmental expenditure
- Deliver presentations and process improvements to ensure efficient service delivery and maintain client relationships
- Review the company's fee and cost structure regularly to ensure optimal margins while remaining competitive
- Manage profitable operations of education and training partnerships with local and international institutions
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Master's Degree in Power or related field (preferred)
- Extensive technical knowledge of the power sector (Generation, Transmission, and Distribution)
- Strong business development skills
- Self-managed professional with proven ability to work independently
