Job Summary

The Head of People Development will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training and professional development programmes that support the University's strategic objectives. This role involves identifying, developing, and managing the University's top talent, creating and updating training materials, and overseeing all professional development initiatives. The incumbent will manage policies and procedures related to talent development, performance management, and succession planning while ensuring that all learning and development programmes align with the University's long-term vision and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as principal advisor to the Senior Management Team on all People & Change-related matters
• Lead the development, review, and implementation of People & Change policies and procedures
• Design and implement bespoke people development strategies to position the University as a best-in-class learning and people development institution
• Coordinate training, performance management, and succession planning initiatives across all departments
• Identify, develop, and manage training programmes within the approved annual training budget
• Develop and implement Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and ensure adherence to safety standards
• Liaise with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) to process annual training cost refunds and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Prepare and monitor budgets for training and development, ensuring efficient and accountable use of funds
• Provide ongoing programme management and evaluation for all talent and leadership development initiatives
• Develop and update policies and procedural guidelines that promote employee growth and organizational learning
• Perform other duties as assigned
