Head of Procurement at Industrial and Medical Gases Nigeria Plc

About the Role

Industrial and Medical Gases Nigeria Plc is seeking a qualified Head of Procurement to lead our supply chain and procurement functions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive procurement strategies that align with our business and production goals while overseeing operations across our ASU, CO₂, and DA plants.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain and procurement strategies aligned with business and production goals
• Lead the procurement of raw materials, plant spares, and engineering components required for ASU, CO₂, and DA plants
• Oversee vendor sourcing, negotiation, onboarding, and performance management
• Manage inventory planning, warehousing, and logistics to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Sales, and other departments to forecast and manage material requirements
• Lead negotiations of major contracts, ensuring favorable commercial terms and strict compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
• Monitor procurement budgets, track cost savings, and ensure adherence to approved financial and operational targets
• Oversee supplier evaluation, selection, and relationship management to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business objectives
• Drive process automation and efficiency improvements within the procurement and supply chain functions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement operations
• Generate and present periodic procurement reports, market analyses, and performance dashboards to management for informed decision-making
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, internal control frameworks, and relevant procurement regulations
• Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory, and corporate governance requirements, including customs, import/export, and trade regulations

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Supply Chain & Procurement team to achieve departmental KPIs and organizational objectives
