Head of Procurement at Cruxstone Development and Investment Limited

About the Role

The Head of Procurement leads the procurement strategy and oversees all sourcing and purchasing operations across the business group. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of construction materials, equipment, subcontracted services, works, facility management, hospitality management, office supplies, and corporate procurement needs. The Head of Procurement drives supplier performance, mitigates supply risks, ensures compliance with the Procurement policy, maintains high-quality goods and services standards, and supports real estate development projects.

The Head of Procurement ensures smooth running of the importation process in line with Nigerian Customs requirements when necessary, including imported goods such as building materials.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement the company's procurement strategy aligned with corporate goals
• Design processes and procedures to implement the Procurement policy
• Lead long and short-term sourcing plans for major development projects and operations
• Ensure that transactions are processed in compliance with Cruxstone's Procurement policy to meet specific organizational requirements
• Ensure smooth implementation of Cruxstone's Procurement policies and procedures across the business for the procurement of goods and services

Team Management & Development

• Supervise and mentor procurement and supply chain teams
• Conduct performance reviews and strengthen team capacity
• Liaise with other departments to understand their requirements upfront for proper planning
• Foster collaboration across departments

Supplier Management & Negotiation

• Identify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers and contractors in line with company policy
• Lead negotiations of all transactions and contracts
• Monitor supplier performance and enforce compliance for increased productivity
