Head of Learning/ EYFS Lead at Home Also Creche & Preschool

About the Role

Home Also Creche & Preschool is seeking an experienced Head of Learning and EYFS Lead to oversee Early Years provision and lead our educational team. You will be responsible for promoting the social, academic, moral, physical, and emotional development of children in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision for children aged 3 months to 5 years, ensuring continuity and progression into Primary School
• Initiate, manage, monitor, and evaluate change across the Early Years team (Crèche, Playgroup, Pre-Nursery, Nursery 1 and 2) to continuously improve practice
• Promote and maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing Early Years environment, supporting the team in delivering high-quality care and upholding professional standards
• Ensure equality of provision across the EYFS, including consistent access to resources and high-quality teaching
• Ensure parents are actively involved in record-keeping, monitoring, and reviewing their child's progress by promoting strong partnerships with families
• Provide professional guidance and practical support within classrooms when required, drawing on personal expertise and experience
• Manage the organisation, maintenance, and provision of materials, resources, equipment, and furnishings, including responsibility for ordering within the allocated budget
• Be responsible for updating all Early Years Foundation Stage Policies, Handbooks, and Risk Assessments
• Act as a full member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), representing the interests of Crèche, Playgroup, Pre-Nursery, Nursery 1 & 2 children, staff, and parents
• Keep the Director/Proprietor up to date with ongoing developments through regular verbal and written communication
• Support the marketing and admissions process by maintaining positive community links, promoting the setting locally, and effectively communicating with prospective families
• Work collaboratively with the Director/Proprietor in the recruitment and deployment of staff
