Head of Investment at Assets Microfinance Bank

About the Role

An established financial institution is recruiting a Head of Investment to lead strategic investment initiatives and drive commercial growth. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership, requiring someone who can develop innovative products, manage high-net-worth relationships, and deliver strong commercial results.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the department's strategic objectives in alignment with the bank's overall vision
• Provide strategic advice to the MD with accurate market insights and perspectives on the bank's future direction
• Lead and coordinate a portfolio of strategic sales and partnerships related to growth initiatives to accelerate market entry and drive commercial outcomes
• Oversee and manage team members across investment and deposit mobilization functions
• Plan and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement through cost-effective operations and market development activities
• Drive and meet assigned sales targets and quotas
• Cultivate and maintain an active portfolio of high-net-worth individual (HNI) clientele on an ongoing basis for investment
• Source appropriately priced and structured deposit liabilities from individual and corporate sources through the sale of specially designed investment products
• Innovate and develop attractive value-added deposit products and marketing strategies based on field experience
• Contribute to the development of new products and enhanced marketing and sales strategies
• Plan, manage, and coordinate the activities of investment and deposit mobilization sales teams
• Regularly liaise with treasury management and other divisions to understand ongoing business changes and drive business objectives
• Cultivate and maintain courteous and efficient relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Produce periodic reports for board, management, and stakeholder meetings
• Provide recommendations to enhance company strategies, policies, and processes
