Head of Finance  at Ama-Zuma Group

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to lead our finance function at Ama-Zuma Group in Lagos, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results
• Approve or reject budgets and allocate resources
• Manage cash flows and conduct profit and cost analyses
• Evaluate and decide on investment opportunities
• Conduct risk management and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Supervise and lead a team of accountants
• Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential financial information
• Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
• Consult with board members regarding funding options
• Recommend cost-reducing solutions to optimize financial performance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CPA, CA, CFA, or equivalent qualification preferred)
• 15–20 years of progressive finance experience
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role in the oil and gas or energy sector
• ICAN/ACA Certification (mandatory)
• Proven work experience as Head of Finance, Director of Finance, or similar role

Essential Skills and Experience

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, oil and gas accounting, cost recovery, and joint venture accounting
• Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Solid analytical and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership abilities
