Head of Engineering / Maintenance

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Head of Engineering and Maintenance to lead all technical operations across our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of all medical equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of all medical and non-medical equipment
• Manage biomedical systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
• Supervise engineering and maintenance teams
• Ensure uninterrupted operation of power, water, HVAC, and medical gas systems
• Liaise with vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies
• Prepare budgets, reports, and asset registers

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 7–10 years' experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Strong knowledge of hospital equipment and facility systems
• Professional certification is an added advantage
