About the Role

As the Head of Department for Midwifery, you will oversee the development and management of the Midwifery department at our upcoming nursing school. This position offers a significant opportunity for career growth and leadership in midwifery education.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the midwifery curriculum in alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards
• Provide leadership and support to faculty members and administrative staff within the Midwifery department
• Ensure the integration of evidence-based practices and innovative teaching methodologies in midwifery education
• Foster a collaborative and supportive environment that promotes professional growth and student success

Requirements

• Registered Midwife (RM) with a Master's Degree in Midwifery or a related field (PhD in Midwifery or Education is advantageous)
• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Education
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in midwifery education or clinical practice, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven experience in curriculum development, program assessment, and faculty development within a midwifery education context
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
