About the Role
The Head of Institutional Sales is responsible for identifying opportunities and developing strategic relationships with institutional investors, asset managers, and investment consultants across assigned institutional market channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate prospects and/or clients within institutional markets
- Initiate and follow up on new business opportunities
- Lead new business meetings and close sales to institutional investors and consultants
- Leverage the organization's relationships with existing institutional accounts through proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with pension consultants
- Assist in the development and launching of new products
- Act as a liaison to investment management groups to ensure active support of the sales and marketing process
- Ensure that product and sales materials are updated and focused for applicable presentations, conferences, and opportunities
- Work closely with team members to further develop sales opportunities
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional working experience
- Demonstrated ability to create sales and relationship opportunities with clients, prospects, and consultants in assigned market segments
- Relevant experience in Investment/Wealth Management or Financial Services is preferred

- Excellent sales skills with demonstrated ability to close business
- In-depth product knowledge and broad investment knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels of the organization
- General understanding of financial markets and investment vehicles
Education & Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree
- Membership of a professional body (advantageous)
- SEC registration (advantageous)
