Head Haulage (Technical) at AA Rescue

About the Role

We are expanding our dynamic team and seeking an experienced technical leader to oversee all aspects of our haulage fleet operations. In this role, you will manage vehicle maintenance, supervise workshop operations, coordinate logistics activities, and lead a team of mechanics and drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repair of all haulage vehicles
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and downtime
• Ensure all vehicles meet safety, regulatory, and operational standards
• Diagnose mechanical issues and guide repair teams on solutions
• Supervise workshop operations and ensure quality control on all repairs
• Plan and coordinate daily haulage activities to ensure timely deliveries
• Monitor fuel usage, driver performance, and route efficiency
• Ensure adherence to transport regulations, road safety laws, and company policies
• Maintain documentation for vehicle licensing, insurance, and inspections

Leadership & Development

• Lead and train mechanics, drivers, and technical staff
• Conduct regular performance reviews and technical workshops

Financial Management

• Prepare and manage budgets for fleet operations and repairs
• Analyze operational costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses
