About the Role

An established company is recruiting for a Head of Accounts and Finance to provide overall leadership and direction for the Accounts and Finance department. This is a senior leadership position requiring strategic financial management and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Oversee accounting operations including payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial controls
• Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and forecasts
• Lead budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management, and variance analysis
• Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements
• Manage audits, tax filings, and engagements with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
• Strengthen internal control systems, financial policies, and risk management frameworks
• Drive cost containment initiatives and improve financial efficiency across the organization
• Supervise, mentor, and appraise finance team members
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making
• Perform high-level financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting as required by management and the Board
• Continuously identify process improvement opportunities and implement best financial practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) – mandatory
• Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant accounting experience
• At least 4–5 years in a managerial or senior leadership role
