About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team as a Government & Economics Teacher in Ikotun Egbe, Lagos State.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare material for presentations and deliver engaging lessons to all students
• Plan and deliver lessons tailored to the educational needs, abilities, and achievement levels of individual students and groups
• Adopt and implement the school development plan within your teaching practice
• Assign, correct, and mark student work in a timely manner
• Assess, record, and report on student development, progress, attainment, and behavior
• Provide oral and written assessments, reports, and references for individual students or groups
• Participate in student performance appraisal arrangements within the national framework
• Maintain student activity records in accordance with applicable laws and school policies
• Enforce school rules and implement appropriate disciplinary actions
• Protect and maintain school records, equipment, materials, and facilities
• Supervise students in out-of-class settings
• Demonstrate appropriate professional conduct during school duties
• Contribute to achieving the school's student achievement goals and academic outcomes
• Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a related field
• State-specific teacher certification
• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience teaching Government and Economics
• Thorough understanding of best practices in teaching
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organized and flexible disposition
