## Title: Global Trade, Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor

Role Summary

HRLeverage Africa, a leading Pan-African workforce management company, is seeking an experienced Global Trade, Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor for a client operating in the international trade and wholesale trading sector. The client specializes in sourcing, importing, and exporting a variety of goods globally.

The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end international logistics and trade operations, ensuring smooth, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across borders while leading an operational team and coordinating with global partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee import/export operations and ensure compliance with global trade laws and customs regulations
  • Manage trade documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading/air waybills, certificates of origin, letters of credit, and HS Codes
  • Coordinate international freight across air, sea, road, and rail channels, monitoring shipment schedules, delivery timelines, and costs
  • Supervise and guide logistics officers and trade coordinators
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers
  • Track key performance indicators including on-time delivery, clearance lead time, cost variance, and compliance rates
  • Support process improvement and cost optimization initiatives across the supply chain

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field
  • 3 – 5 years of hands-on experience in international logistics, supply chain, or global trade operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms®, customs procedures, and international documentation
  • Proficiency in ERP or logistics systems and MS Excel
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CSCP, CITP, FIATA Diploma, or Customs/Trade Compliance Certification
