About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated Geophysicist III to support and enhance 2D/3D seismic and wellbore acquisition programs across the company. You will interface with operating groups, technical specialists, and vendors to provide 2D/3D seismic and borehole seismic survey acquisition solutions that safely meet organizational goals and commitments. You may also serve as a Formation Evaluation Specialist.

Main Responsibilities

In addition to Level 1 and 2 responsibilities, a Level 3 Geophysicist will:

• Apply post-stack and pre-stack seismic inversion and AVO techniques
• Conduct seismic attribute analysis to define structural and depositional environments/facies
• Leverage strong experience with carbonates
• Apply geophysical expertise to unconventional plays

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in Geotechnical or Geophysical Sciences
• Previous experience in a closely related position
• Strong geology and geophysical interpretation skills
• Advanced petrophysical analysis skills in siliciclastic settings
• Proficiency in computing applications (Geology & Petrel)
• Strong knowledge of local petroleum geology
• Sound knowledge of seismic processing and seismic acquisition operations
• Strong structural geology background with experience in all tectonic systems, geological environments, and reservoir types
• Experience interpreting gravity and magnetic data
