An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional.
- Ability to develop a detailed furniture and fittings production plan, coordinate production process, supervise available resources and be able to deliver on pre-agreed terms, delivery timeframes, budget, quality and scope.
- Manage the production facility and production process. Ensure production process runs smoothly, safely, clearly and meets production budget and goals.
- Responsible for managing the furniture production, ensuring that all orders are executed to Clients’ requirement.
- Oversee and work with Quality Control/CNC to establish and execute quality control processes.
- Oversee the production process that includes; cutting to measurements, edge taping, plaining of boards, designing a finishing, drawing up production schedule and setting targets for carpenters, floor hands, machinists and quality assistants.
- Ensure that production is cost effective.
- Estimate costs and set quality standards.
- Monitor our products standards and implement quality control programmes.
- Work with management to implement the company’s policies and goals.
- Ability to manage production team for efficient and effective performance.
- You are responsible for inventory, plan and organise maintenance of all the company’s machinery and tools.
- Responsible for the coordination of all raw materials Panels, Screws, etc.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Ensure that production schedules are executed within the agreed time.
- Ensure production problems are investigated and resolved in record time.
- Ensure that faulty equipment is repaired quickly and efficiently.
- Organise machine start-up and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss of production time and profits.
- Plan & monitor our furniture that includes; subframes, frames, doors, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, wall panels and other furniture production at every stage of manufacturing process.
- Ensure that all furniture produced meet the company’s quality standards.
- Continuous process improvement, internal and external.
- Accountable for optimizing the company’s logistics process.
- Build a motivated, competent and results focused carpenters/installers, machinists, sprayers. quality control/design hands.
- Candidates should possess a Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Wood Technology.
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ relevant work experience in a high-end furniture manufacturing company
