About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Full Stack Developer with a strong foundation in both Python backend development and modern React-based frontend frameworks. This is a remote position based in Lagos, Nigeria.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with at least 4+ years of backend experience in fast-paced environments and hands-on expertise with Next.js, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS on the frontend. You should require little to no supervision and be passionate about building high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions end-to-end.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of backend development experience in fast-paced environments
• Strong Python backend development skills
• Hands-on expertise with Next.js, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ownership mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Backend Development Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Python
• Integrate third-party services, especially payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal)
• Deploy and manage containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS
• Write performant and secure backend code following industry best practices
• Utilize Redis for caching and background job queues
• Model and optimize data using PostgreSQL
• Use Linux command line for troubleshooting, scripting, and deployment tasks

Frontend Development Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible, and modern UIs using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS
• Develop dynamic web apps with SSR/ISR and API routes using Next.js
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to transform design specifications into working components
• Optimize performance, accessibility, and SEO of web applications

DevOps & Collaboration Responsibilities

• Use GitHub for source control, branching, and code reviews
• Collaborate via MS Teams and manage project timelines and deliverables
• Write clear documentation and ensure smooth handoff between frontend and backend teams
• Participate in agile ceremonies and work closely with designers, QA, and product teams
