Job Summary

We are seeking a Fintech Finance & Strategy Lead to drive financial and regulatory strategy for our remittances & POS business. This role requires deep expertise in international money transfers, scaling fintechs, and licensing across borders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy and operations for our fintech business, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management
• Provide expert guidance on international money transfer processes, POS/terminal business models, and scaling operations across borders
• Navigate and manage regulatory requirements and licensing for fintech operations in Canada and Nigeria, including liaising with CBN and other regulatory bodies globally
• Develop and implement financial systems, controls, and risk management processes to support rapid scaling
• Prepare and present financial performance, investment readiness reports, and growth strategies to leadership and investors
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and fundraising initiatives
• Mentor and build a high-performing finance and compliance team
• Support fundraising and investor engagement with accurate financial models, pitch materials, and due diligence documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (CPA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred
• 7–10 years of experience in fintech, international payments, remittances, or POS/terminal businesses
• Proven track record in scaling fintech startups and managing cross-border financial operations
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks for money transfer operators, POS, and payment terminals in Canada and Nigeria
• Strong financial acumen in accounting, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Experience with licensing applications, compliance, and audits in regulated markets
