Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Finance Manager to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for all day-to-day and strategic finance activities, overseeing two accountants, ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting, managing treasury operations, coordinating tax and audit activities, and providing robust financial support for projects.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Oversee all financial operations, including supervision, mentoring, and development of the accounting team
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare and present financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
• Analyze financial data and trends, collaborating with department heads to manage operating costs

Financial Advice, Planning & Analysis

• Provide financial advice to management, supporting growth, profitability, and decision-making
• Develop and utilize financial models to support business planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis
• Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting, offering micro- and macroeconomic insights

Treasury, Tax & Audit Management

• Implement and manage effective treasury strategies, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Ensure timely remittance of all applicable taxes and correct application of tax rates

Internal Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement

• Develop, implement, and review internal financial controls to safeguard company assets
• Identify inefficiencies in accounting and financial processes, implementing improvements
• Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members to achieve departmental goals
