Finance Manager at TA Connect

About the Role

An established organization is recruiting a Finance Manager to oversee and coordinate the financial and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, Nigerian law, and organizational policies. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration Operations (DFAO), the Finance Manager will provide technical guidance, review financial reports, and ensure efficient systems for budgeting, reporting, audits, and grants management. This position serves as the primary link between the DFAO and finance teams, ensuring operational excellence and organizational accountability.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations
• Review financial statements, cashflow projections, and grant reports prepared by the Senior Officer before submission to the DFAO
• Ensure compliance with organizational, donor, and statutory financial regulations
• Coordinate with the DFAO to update and implement internal control systems that safeguard organizational assets
• Monitor grant expenditure against budgets, ensuring variances are identified, explained, and addressed
• Lead the preparation of annual and program budgets in collaboration with program teams and the DFAO
• Monitor budget utilization and provide timely budget versus actual (BVA) reports with variance analysis
• Oversee donor financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to grant requirements
• Provide regular financial performance updates to management for decision-making
• Lead the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits
• Ensure all financial documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
• Oversee grant financial management systems, ensuring sub-grants and partner contracts are properly documented and managed
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies and donor regulations across all states
