Position Overview:
- Halifield Schools is seeking a skilled and creative Fashion Design & Dress Making Teacher to train and inspire students in the art of fashion design, garment construction, and dressmaking techniques. The ideal candidate should be passionate about practical skill development and capable of delivering engaging, hands-on lessons.
- Teach fashion design concepts, basic garment construction, and dressmaking techniques.
- Train students in sewing, pattern drafting, fabric selection, and finishing methods.
- Supervise practical sessions and ensure proper use of equipment and materials.
- Guide students in completing fashion projects from concept to finished garment.
- Maintain a safe and organized practical learning environment.
- Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Proven experience in fashion design and dressmaking.
- Relevant certification or training in Fashion Design (an added advantage).
- Strong practical sewing and pattern-making skills.
- Ability to teach and manage students effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, patient, and detail-oriented.
