An established company is recruiting for the following position.
Position Overview:
- Our client is seeking an experienced Factory Operations Manager to lead and optimize end-to-end factory operations.
- The role is responsible for ensuring efficient production, cost control, quality compliance, equipment reliability, and effective workforce management while meeting business and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee daily factory operations to achieve production targets and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate production planning, manpower allocation, and equipment utilization
- Monitor operational performance and address production bottlenecks promptly.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with NAFDAC, SON, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal quality controls.
- Support regulatory inspections, audits, and product registrations.
- Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machines and utilities.
- Manage factory utilities including generators, power supply, water, and compressed air.
- Minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan through effective maintenance planning.
- Ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- Enforce safety rules, use of PPE, and HSE procedures across the factory.
- Conduct incident investigations and implement preventive measures.
- Lead, supervise, and develop supervisors, technicians, and factory operators.
- Manage shift schedules, attendance, discipline, and performance reviews.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Control production costs, wastage, energy consumption, and overheads.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Production output vs approved plan.
- Overall factory efficiency and machine uptime.
- Downtime due to equipment failure.
- Wastage and yield variance.
- Cost per unit produced.
- Quality defect rate and customer complaints.
- Compliance and audit outcomes (NAFDAC/SON).
