Engineering & Project Management Executive at Safety Consultants and Solutions Provider Limited

Job Summary

This position is part of the site management team and holds responsibility for security, health and safety oversight, as well as organizing and supervising materials and personnel. The job holder will mark out the site, ensure designs are applied correctly, and liaise with main and sub-contractors and the site manager. Regular communication with the client, its representatives, and any consultants involved in the assigned project is essential.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Act as the main technical adviser on a project site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives
• Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations
• Ensure that all materials used and work performed comply with specifications
• Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and craftspeople
• Develop cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project
• Manage, monitor, and interpret contract design documents supplied by the client
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project
• Coordinate with local authorities (where appropriate) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws
• Maintain regular communication with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors), including attending meetings to keep them informed of progress
• Manage day-to-day site operations, including supervising and monitoring site labor and subcontractor work
• Plan work and efficiently organize site facilities to meet agreed deadlines
• Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site
• Prepare reports as required
• Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
• Work on projects in the execution phase of the M&E section
