About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as an Electrician in Omi Adio (Apata axis), Ibadan, Oyo State.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, and fixtures in accordance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs accurately
• Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify defects, faults, or malfunctions, and diagnose issues using testing equipment and tools
• Troubleshoot electrical problems, such as power outages, short circuits, and voltage fluctuations, and implement corrective actions to restore functionality
• Install and configure electrical systems and equipment, such as lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and electrical panels, following manufacturer specifications and guidelines
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting electrical components and systems, to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability
• Test electrical systems and components for proper operation, voltage, current, and resistance, using multimeters, voltage testers, and other diagnostic tools
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to coordinate electrical work and ensure integration with other building systems and construction activities
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, codes, and standards, including National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
• Install and maintain grounding systems, surge protectors, and electrical safety devices to protect against electrical hazards, shocks, and fires
• Provide technical guidance and support to apprentices, helpers, or junior electricians, mentoring them in proper electrical techniques, practices, and safety procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all electrical work performed
