About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Electrical Sales Engineer to join our expanding team. You will be responsible for all outdoor electrical sales and quotations, including follow-up and after-sales service. This is an excellent opportunity to grow the business by managing existing accounts and developing new opportunities in the electrical sales industry.
Job Objectives
Your primary focus will be on business growth through:
- Calling on and servicing an existing account base
- Developing new accounts in the electrical sales industry
- Maximizing new customer acquisition and renewal rates
- Executing up-selling and cross-selling strategies
Key Responsibilities
- Search for new clients, respond to inquiries, and process orders
- Contact current customers and advise them on new products for up-selling opportunities
- Match customer requirements to proposed sales solutions
- Negotiate and close sales
- Coordinate sales projects
- Prepare reports for the branch manager
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Record and maintain accurate client contact data
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current products and stay informed about new offerings
- Provide product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes
- Offer technical expertise on products to customers
- Develop and maintain positive, long-term customer relationships
- Ensure customer satisfaction with order processing, products, pricing, deliveries, and overall service
- Liaise with sales team members and technical experts
- Work with Sales Managers, Customer Services Managers, and Project Managers to assess customer satisfaction and identify future sales opportunities
- Participate in pre-order design reviews
- Maintain excellent levels of customer satisfaction and meet all KPIs
- Minimize company exposure to liabilities
- Ensure compliance with all Company Standing Instructions, including safety protocols
