Electrical Engineer at Lily Hospitals Limited

Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to ensure that all hospital electrical equipment is efficiently maintained and operates to the highest standards. This role provides critical engineering support to maintain the safety, reliability, and compliance of all electrical systems throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise Management on the procurement of electrical devices, conducting extensive research on price, quality, maintenance, and after-sales service plans
• Complete all new Electrical Equipment Acceptance forms and follow up on the resolution of any discrepancies
• Provide engineering support to clinical and diagnostic departments as approved by organizational Management
• Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems
• Carry out routine maintenance of electrical equipment
• Prepare and present spare parts requests to the Facility/Maintenance Manager in a timely manner to ensure constant availability of supplies
• Execute regular electrical safety checks and investigate safety-related incidents
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications, as well as compliance with operational and safety standards
• Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, ISO standards, COHSASA, Kaizen, and regulatory and legal requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering, Physics, Computing, Mathematics, Medical Science, or any related field
• Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC work experience in a similar field
• Excellent customer service skills
• Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
