Overall Purpose of the Role
The Economic Recovery Officer is responsible for supporting the Economic Recovery program and vocational training initiatives. The role involves day-to-day monitoring and supervision of business grants and vocational training delivery across three Local Government Areas. The position will facilitate relations between NADA and local communities to ensure effective project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate NADA economic recovery activities to stakeholders and community members
- Identify and register target groups for economic recovery activities
- Conduct profiling and counselling sessions for identified candidates according to project selection criteria
- Ensure equal participation across all community segments, with attention to gender, age, and persons with disabilities
- Lead and conduct field assessments and surveys, including needs assessments, market assessments, labour market assessments, and baseline surveys
- Strengthen links between NADA and stakeholders, including vocational training centres, Chamber of Commerce, and other relevant organizations
- Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive database of all program participants (selected and non-selected), with updates at least monthly
- Identify market gaps and encourage development of relevant businesses to address them
- Monitor and support project implementation at the field level
- Conduct business support training for business grant beneficiaries and other identified participants
- Provide regular technical advice and support to business development beneficiaries
- Organize and support the delivery of vocational training activities
- Regularly supervise program activities and staff performance
