Director of Works, Physical Planning and Maintenance at The Federal University of Agriculture Zuru

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Responsibilities

• The Director of Works and Maintenance is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day running of the Directorate.

• He is also responsible for day-to-day physical/infrastructural facilities management and maintenance in the University.

• He is also responsible for the supervision and ensuring quality standards/maintenance, and servicing of physical structures in the University.

• The Director will be responsible for keeping all inventory of all University properties and their maintenance, security and upkeep.

• He should carry out any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Vice Chancellor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates must possess a good honours Degree not below Second-Class Lower Division in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning, Quantity Surveying, Building or any relevant degree from a recognize institution.

• Possession of a higher degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage.

• Be a member of an appropriate professional body with a current practicing license, as well as a minimum of fifteen (15) years post-qualification work experience and must have attained the rank of a Deputy Director or its equivalent from a university system.

Salary and Conditions of Service The Salary and Conditions of Service for the post shall be as obtainable for the post of Director Works in Nigerian Federal Universities and as may be determined from time to time by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Council of the University.
