Director of Finance and Administration

Position Overview

Global Peace Development seeks a qualified Director of Finance and Administration to provide strategic financial leadership and ensure effective management of financial resources, donor compliance, and operational efficiency. This role oversees budgeting, financial reporting, procurement, human resources, and administrative functions in support of the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management and Compliance

• Develop and implement financial policies, controls, and procedures aligned with donor and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and oversee annual budgets, financial reports, payroll, and cash flow management
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to donors and the Board of Trustees
• Conduct financial risk assessments and audits to ensure transparency and accountability

Administration and Operations

• Oversee procurement, asset management, and logistics to support program implementation
• Ensure compliance with tax regulatory bodies in GPD operating states
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory agencies

Human Resource Management

• Lead the development and implementation of HR policies, recruitment, onboarding, staff development, and performance management
• Ensure accurate payroll computation
• Manage staff welfare and benefits

Partnership and Donor Relations

• Ensure compliance with grant agreements and donor financial reporting requirements
• Support fundraising efforts through financial planning and budgeting for proposals

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• 4–5 years of experience in financial management, administration, and HR within an NGO or donor-funded organization
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA
• Experience with accounting software
