We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for creating, developing, and improving mechanical systems, components, and products. Your role will combine engineering principles, design creativity, and technical knowledge to ensure functionality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Component Design

• Develop and design mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA)
• Translate requirements and ideas into technical drawings and 3D models

Engineering Analysis

• Perform calculations and simulations (stress, strain, heat transfer, fluid flow, fatigue, vibration)
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes

Collaboration & Project Work

• Work with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, electrical, software, procurement) to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective
• Support production teams in solving technical issues

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety codes
• Prepare design documentation, reports, and user manuals

Required Qualifications

• B.Eng degree or HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo)
• Strong grasp of engineering principles (mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC, casting, molding, 3D printing)
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Project management and teamwork abilities
