Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team at Adorable British College in Lagos, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of the Nigerian-British curriculum. This role requires a professional who can engage students with innovative teaching methods and utilize technology effectively in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Nigerian-British curriculum
• Develop engaging and interactive PowerPoint presentations to support lesson delivery
• Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities
• Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback and support
• Participate in curriculum development and school events
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint, to enhance teaching and administrative tasks

Qualifications

• First Degree (B.Ed, B.A, or B.Sc) or Master's degree with PGDE qualification in a relevant discipline
• Teaching qualifications
• 2–5 years of teaching experience covering both local and international curricula (e.g., IGCSE, SAT, TOEFL, WASCE)
• Cambridge IGCSE Certification
• Familiarity with the Nigerian-British curriculum and its assessment methods

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to integrate technology into teaching
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
