Design and Commercial Engineer Lead at Karbak Ventures Limited

About the Role

An established company is seeking a Design and Commercial Engineer Lead to oversee design projects and drive commercial excellence. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project objectives, timelines, and budgets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service
• Develop detailed designs, utilize CAD software, perform engineering calculations, and optimize project performance
• Prepare cost estimates, conduct value engineering, develop project proposals, and participate in contract negotiations
• Collaborate with procurement teams, develop technical specifications, and evaluate supplier proposals
• Provide technical guidance, coordinate with construction teams, and manage design changes during project execution
• Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and integrate risk management into project planning
• Work across engineering disciplines and coordinate with project managers, estimators, and schedulers
• Identify training and development needs, promoting continuous learning and professional growth within the team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or HND qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
• 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with CAD and CAE software (AutoCAD 3D, AutoCAD Advance Steel, AME Tank, SolidWorks, PipeFlow, Prota, ANSYS, Aspen HYSYS)
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project

Compensation

₦250,000–₦300,000 monthly
