## Title: Deputy Chief Operating Officer

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Ama-Zuma Group in Lagos, Nigeria as Deputy Chief Operating Officer. You will play a critical role in coordinating and optimizing operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chief Operating Officer in coordinating, monitoring, and prioritizing workflows
  • Oversee facilities management, capital construction, transportation, and logistics operations
  • Develop and manage budgets for various operational departments
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and legal requirements
  • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures
  • Lead and manage teams of operational staff
  • Monitor logistics operations to achieve optimal costs and minimize downtime periods
  • Generate management reports tracking spend versus budgets
  • Manage fleet-related operational costs in line with functional budget requirements
  • Monitor and limit truck downtime
  • Formulate and implement regulations and strategies for logistics, transportation, and customer service
  • Manage the control and flow of packages to ensure timely customer delivery
  • Oversee inventory control, material handling, transportation, and workforce planning
  • Prepare workforce schedules and ensure distribution workers follow safety rules
  • Partner with and negotiate with vendors on purchasing spare parts and equipment
  • Supervise daily operations of staff within and outside the region, providing support as needed
  • Work to improve the efficiency of the company's supply chain
  • Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to senior management
  • Ensure timely repair and maintenance of all trucks
  • Prepare and present reports on operational performance to management
  • Develop and improve operational plans and schedules to ensure efficient and timely operations

Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • 18–20 years of work experience
  • Downstream Oil and Gas industry experience
