Responsibilities
- Provide routine dental therapy services such as scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatment.
- Assist dentists in examining and treating patients during dental procedures.
- Conduct oral health education and preventive care programs for patients and communities.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient dental records.
- Counsel patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-procedure care.
- Support the dentist during fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, and other clinical procedures.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs where necessary.
- Ensure proper inventory and availability of dental supplies.
- Participate in outreach and community oral health programs.
- Stay updated on current practices, tools, and technologies in dental therapy.
