Critical Thinking Teacher at Gonzaga Jesuit College

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Teacher of Critical Thinking and Reasoning skills to join our faculty at Gonzaga Jesuit College in Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses that develop students' reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills, preparing them to engage thoughtfully with academic challenges and real-world issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons that foster logical reasoning, analysis, and reflective judgment
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments focused on critical thinking skills
• Guide students in applying critical thinking to academic subjects and everyday life situations
• Encourage creativity, independent thought, and collaborative problem-solving
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate critical thinking into other subject areas
• Participate actively in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy, Education, Logic, or a related field
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or equivalent teaching qualification (an added advantage)
• Proven teaching experience in critical thinking, philosophy, or related subjects at the secondary school level
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
