Cost Controller at Maventeq Systems Limited

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining detailed cost management systems to ensure project execution aligns with established budgets and forecasts. The Cost Controller will provide critical, forward-looking analysis and data-driven insights to support proactive decision-making by company executive management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project's Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and establish the official cost baseline for all company projects and operations
• Create detailed cost estimates for all project phases and prepare accurate forecasts (Estimate at Completion - EAC) to predict final project costs
• Conduct Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis to measure project health using key indices (CPI, SPI) and assess schedule and cost performance
• Implement and manage robust ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, etc.) to track all project commitments, expenditures, and accruals against the approved budget
• Identify, analyze, and report on cost variances, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions to management
• Quantify the financial impact of project changes and trends, ensuring all impacts are captured in the Management of Change (MoC) process and budget updates
• Work with the project and operations team to quantify financial risks and opportunities, and monitor the use of contingency funds
• Generate timely and clear cost reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate financial status and projections to company management
• Utilize the company's ERP (SAP, Odoo, etc.) and project controls software as primary tools for all cost management and reporting activities
• Provide proactive, data-driven insights to support decision-making, offering early warnings of potential cost overruns and identifying cost-saving opportunities
