Position Overview
EKO Hotels & Suites is seeking a qualified Continental Chef specializing in Lebanese Cuisine. You will be responsible for preparing authentic Lebanese and continental dishes while maintaining the highest quality and presentation standards. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Middle Eastern ingredients, cooking methods, and traditional recipes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present a wide range of authentic Lebanese dishes, including hot and cold mezze, grills, and traditional mains
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all menu items
- Assist in menu planning and development of new Lebanese and continental dishes
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on Lebanese cooking techniques and standards
- Control food costs through proper portioning and effective inventory management
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Continental or Lebanese Cuisine Chef in a reputable establishment
- Strong knowledge of authentic Lebanese recipes, spices, and cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practices
- Culinary training or certification (advantageous)
