About the Role
Fortis Engineering Services seeks a dedicated Construction Engineer to deliver comprehensive construction engineering support for assigned projects. You will be responsible for planning, preparation, and execution activities with Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) and Controls (C) deliverables, ensuring timely completion to required quality standards while maintaining safety and ethical compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver construction engineering scope for assigned projects, working within a multi-discipline project team to ensure quality work delivery on schedule
- Work with and guide contractor teams in delivering construction of E&I systems, equipment packages, and related components in accordance with project specifications
- Provide fabrication and package manufacturing support, along with onshore readiness activities
- Drive implementation of E&I/C construction engineering and execution requirements across design, fabrication, testing, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases
- Ensure final products meet applicable code requirements, project scope of work, and specifications
- Manage planning, design, direction, coordination, and supervision of construction activities for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems/piping interface deliverables
- Facilitate constructability and construction readiness reviews; conduct design reviews to ensure constructability requirements are embedded and designs are safe
- Develop construction execution strategy, construction execution plans, and workface execution plans
- Review and secure approvals for construction-related documentation and deliverables
- Adhere to and implement company guidelines on Health, Safety, Security, Environment (HSSE), and Ethics & Compliance
