Concrete Mixer Operator at African Industries Group (AIG)

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Concrete Mixer Operator to join our construction operations in Odongunyan, Ikorodu. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining concrete mixing equipment, ensuring timely and high-quality concrete supply for construction projects, and working closely with the site team to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor concrete mixer machinery safely and efficiently
• Mix concrete batches according to specified project ratios and quality standards
• Load and unload materials (cement, sand, gravel) as needed
• Clean and maintain mixer equipment and the workplace after each shift
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate concrete delivery schedules
• Adhere strictly to safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly

Requirements

• OND or NCE qualification
• 4–10 years of experience as a Concrete Mixer Operator or in a similar construction role
• Knowledge of concrete mixing ratios, materials handling, and mixer maintenance
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Good understanding of safety practices on construction sites
• Reliability, discipline, and good teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, or extended hours when needed
• Must be based in or willing to commute to Odongunyan/Ikorodu, Lagos
